Staying Logged In

Postby etheonut on Fri Jul 04, 2008 10:31 pm

I believe I have found the reason why people were not able to 'stay logged in' on the site. I believe I have fixed it. You should be able to stay logged in for 7 days at a time. Let me know here if it is or isn't working.

And again, I was still logged in to the Portal page, but when I went to the forum page I had to sign in again.

Hmmm, it sounds like it may be a cookie problem. Do you have internet explorer set to delete cookies every time you close the browser?

I'm using Mozilla Firefox. I don't have any problems remaining signed in on any other sites I keep myself logged into.

Ok, I changed something else, lets see if that works. Basically there was a command that checked your IP address versus the one you were originally logged in from, if they didn't match then you were no longer logged in. It no longer checks that, maybe that will allow you to stay logged in. Many private servers (mine included) don't give me a static IP address over any substantial length of time. Let me know if you still experience this problem, but lets take it to a PM.
